Making Bread

Today I made bread for the very first time in a breadmaker!

It was very easy, you simply add all the ingredients and turn it on!

I used a wholemeal sour dough mix and added chopped dates, saltanas, chopped goji berries, chopped cranberries, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and finally chopped almonds.

And it's turned out beautiful! I cant wait to eat some tomorrow with Holly for breakfast.

Holly Walks!

Steve came over late last night. He decided to pick up an extra shift doing graduation photography. Adrians mum and dad stayed for dinner and didn't leave till late so he walked into a full house. It's still strange being with him in front of my daughters' fathers' parents! Especially when they wish their son and I were still together. I'm glad it's gotten this far though. It's been extremely liberating having our relationship out in the open.. We had a great night, he bought me home a beautiful big blueish, purple iris and we caught up on some snuggle time. Holly was happy to see him in the morning.

Hollys nanna came and picked Holly up around lunch time which gave me a few hours free to spend with Steve alone which is always nice! So we went down to a restaurant by the beachside, took a stroll along the beach and ended up spending the rest of our time playing pool and bowling! It was nice to get out of the house! and what great company.

By the time we got home Holly was there waiting for us with big smiles and lots of kisses.. I began to show Steve how she walks from the fridge to the dishwasher if I let go of her hand and when I let go, she didn't stop walking till she reached the other end of the house! I was ecstatic! My little 17 month old is walking! and I was so happy that Steve was there to be a part of that. I excitedly texted everyone I knew the good news. Adrian and his mum texted me back to tell me she'd been doing it all day. So I was glad that they could have been a part of it too. My little Angel is asleep now but I can't wait to see her walking around again tomorrow.

Organising, Waiting and the Autum Pumpkin Pixie Hat

Today has been a day of organising bits and pieces into boxes and drawers and containers and what not.. and more waiting. The real estate agent didn't contact me today so it looks like I will be waiting till Monday for an answer. I've been thinking about it, talking about it, dreaming about it, feeling it, eating it, even smelling what it's going to be like living in that beautiful big house in the hills..

I also managed to find some time to finish of a little hat I started making a few months ago. I've named it 'The Autumn Pumpkin Pixie Hat.'

It is 100% lightweight cotton which makes it ideal for Autumn months and I've used handpainted organic alpaca wool for the neckties. Judging by the way it fits on Holly, I would say it would fit a 14 - 24 month old best.

Boxes Everywhere

I spent most of today packing. It's positive thinking in motion. Hopefully Monday brings good news! Holly spent the day with her Dad which helped me get things done. I'm planning to sit down and get an organic crochet baby headband done for Etsy amongst other things.. So I better get to work!

Emerald City

I applied for a house in Emerald yesterday along with my housemate in Port Fairy, Wendy, and her good friend, Meagan. This house is just magical, I fell in love with it the minute I slipped over and down the steepest driveway I've ever seen! Steve was blown away by the name of the town.. Emerald. He isn't familar with Melbournes outer suburbs yet. He has gotten much further than the city. And so he joked about the only place he knew that came close to that name was Emerald City from The Wizard of Oz.
Here are some photos from my exploration of the house..

Inspired!

I am so inspired by Waldorf Mamas blogs! http://www.waldorfmama.typepad.com/ I discovered her on Etsy.com. I have now gathered the courage to continue with my blogs! Of course my own life has inspired me to write also but sometimes the hard part is bridging the gap between thinking and doing! So here I am!

Life has changed alot.. I moved 5 hours away from home to a beautiful little place in Port Fairy. I have met some wonderful people, gone to some crazy festivals, done lots of artwork, grown as a person in general! Lots of changes in the last 6 months since my last blog. I am currently looking to move again into the Dandenong Ranges where I plan to settle at last! and find Holly another nice little Steiner playgroup.

I have another new man in my life who has been in my life for the past 6 months. He's just amazing and I could spend my life with him.

Above is a photo of Steve with Holly at the park in Port Fairy.

I also have another love interest .. Australian bush flower essences! They are beautiful! I have a little collection going now. I especially love ABFE Organics ~ Woman skin and space mist. It smells divine and feels even better when sprayed on my face and neck! The bottle reads : A gentle and exotic deeply feminine mist, to rebalance a woman's emotional energies. This is a wonderfully nurturing formulation to pamper, cleanse, tone and feed your skin with a unique blend of botanicals, exquisite oils and flower essences. An excellent accompaniment to Woman essence cream.

The ingredients are: Billy Goat Plum, Bottlebrush, Bush Fruchsia, Crowea, Five Corners, Mulla Mulla, Old Man Banksia, Peach Flowered Tea-Tree, Pink Flannel Flower, She Oak.

How gorgeous does that sound!
